Facility Planning Website

Challenge

Mercedes-Benz has provided their dealerships in the past with a detailed facility planning and design manual in the form of multiple word documents converted to PDFs. Being a world leader in luxury and quality, Mercedes-Benz felt it was time to showcase these attributes in a website that provides the facility materials in a more intelligent and useful manner.

Solution

While following brand guidelines, we created a site that caters not only to dealerships but to their architects and designers as well. The home page helps to direct the various users to the information they seek through feature banners, quick links and fast access to common sections. The facility planning and design manual page has been laid out as an interactive table of contents where the user can find and read the sections online or download the information at any level as a PDF. Most of the content in the manual is overly detailed to aide architects and contractors so we created a quick reference page that extracts the specifics and group them into easily searchable carousels.

Design Option Carousels

Users can explore all the recommended colors, finishes and lighting available for the dealerships with carousel specific searches and filters. Clicking on an item reveals details and where it can be applied.

Saved Design Options Panel

Save design options by selecting them in the carousels which are then added to the panel to be emailed as a list to themselves, site contractors or interior designers.
